Today Was a Hard Day: Day 19 SOLSC

Today Was a Hard Day

Breakfast for four
Waffles and sausage

Washing and drying laundry
Clothes folding parties

Youngest daughters'
last day of spring break

Shopping toothpaste, mechanical pencils
Shampoo and Girl Scout cookies

Suitcases, suitcases
Sad pet good-byes

Youngest daughters'
last day of spring break

Ten-minute drive to the airport
Felt  like hours

Checked-in, security clearance
Final waves and smiles

Flight boarding  for Atlanta

Youngest daughters'
last day of spring break

And I almost missed
THE SOLSC!

  1. But you made it! Actually I was away from home all day so I'm a little jealous of all the laundry you accomplished :)

  2. I know what you mean! I've almost missed a deadline or two for SOL! I'm sorry you had such a hard day...maybe a good thing about this hard day is that it's over. :) Thanks for sharing!

  3. I like how you repeat "Youngest daughter's last day of spring break." I'm sure that was what was echoing through your mind the whole day. I am really not looking forward to the day my son leaves for college. Still three years away, but I know those years will fly by.

  4. I hate those drives to the airport after a visit from my daughters who both live in the US. The rush of the final day at home and then the drive to the airport. And, you still made it in time to post a slice!
