Three States, One Family, One Magical Moment! SOLSC Day 16

In my defense of 3 bags for one person, I am taking the college girl her summer clothes. Apparently, it's already summer in Alabama!
Today is day like no other day in my life. Today I going to see my daughters. It's true I used to see my girls quickly by walking into their bedrooms, gathering in the kitchen or waiting to hear the front door open and hearing that familiar, "Mom, Dad, I'm home!" But today I am packing, organizing and checking flight information over and over again! I don't want to make any mistakes; I can't miss this flight! This trip will take me to my daughters.

One daughter is interning with Disney, and the other is a student at Auburn University. It seems surreal to think we all live in different states. Today we are all converging on Disney! Here our family (minus dad;-() will reunite and spend glorious time basking in family love and togetherness.

My husband and I are Oh, so proud of these young women, following their dreams and building a life just as they envision it to be. So today I will walk through the terminal and onto the plane for the first time alone knowing at the end is week of bliss!

I hope you'll forgive me if my post are a bit on the short side over the next few days as I immerse myself in the moments that await. Lexi aching to show us all she's learned from the Mouse and Livi telling me all about life on campus, being in a sorority and her first college spring break (with me luckily). For the next seven days I am a 24 hour on duty mom again!

I want to blog, I want to capture our vacation and how the girls have grown, but it will be short and sweet while I live the memories we will make!

  1. Enjoy your daughter time at Disney, Deb. I, too, am heading south to Washington, D.C. to spend time with my daughter and son-in-law.

  2. How you captured your excitement and pride! Your mother-heart resonates with me. I think you capture every mother's dream in this line, "so proud of these young women, following their dreams and building a life just as they envision it to be." Have a beautiful week.

  3. Enjoy your trip! One of my favorite parts of this community is the understanding that we have to go live life so we have stories to tell. I experienced this kindness when I was returning from Grad School. Enjoy your daughters! Safe travels!
