I have always said I work best with a little pressure. This is probably why I love teaching first grade, there's so much going on, and there's always more than a little pressure! February and March seem to provide just enough of the busy for me. My school calendar is filled with parents conferences, meetings, progress reports, teacher reviews, spring breaks, and the Slice of Life Story Challenge.
Thank goodness they're just as many rewards to keeping me focused and rewarded for all my busy.

THIN MINTS! OMG! I wish they were gluten-free. (My brain does. My thighs are happy I can no longer eat them.) YUM! I could eat a sleeve of Thin Mints in one sitting. (Giving away yet another one of my weaknesses.)
ReplyDeleteWhat a good day you had! Treats galore!
ReplyDeleteSo many goodies! You deserve these treats and more for all of your hard work.
ReplyDeleteHi Deb! I'm new to the SOL challenge and came across your post! I love the things that keep you going when life is so busy! I too have an addiction to girl scout cookies. I love that you had an unexpected snow day today. My husband and I both teach in neighboring districts... he had one and I didn't!!! So crazy. Hope you enjoyed your day!!!

Love that ice cream and cookies, Deb. You deserve a treat! Happy Day 1.
ReplyDeleteTreats and snow! Looks quite lovely - especially after a busy Grade 1 day!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing your snow pic. None for us this year! And GS cookies - I can't even remember who I ordered from, but they will be outside the grocery stores. Love your invitation to grow our writing community and discover our inner writer.
ReplyDeleteDeb! I love all those treats as well! So excited that a Whit's is opening soon in my neighborhood! Yay!
ReplyDeleteNothing like a thin mint! I heard there were some snow days in other country parts--none on our horizon in CT. I keep telling myself June 8th!
ReplyDeleteCheers to Day 1!
